German casinos vary significantly in their look and feel. Some are modern steel & glass, and some are classic palace structures. While German gambling laws vary across the 16 German states (Bundesland), there are also many similarities. In most German casinos patrons must be at least 18 and present a valid photo ID to enter. Also, all German casinos are non-smoking by law (interestingly, the Germans came up with some interesting smoking solutions, such as phone-booth-like smoking stalls, located right by the game tables). Dress code and opening hours vary, however, in most cases table games open only after noon, while slots may be available earlier. Here you can find complete information on all casinos in Germany.
