Visitors to the Champagne-Ardenne region of France enjoy the best of French cuisine (Ardennes pate is a perennial favourite), culture and of course, wine – especially champagne. Reims is the largest city in the area and is dominated by the historic Cathedrale Notre Dame de Reims. However, to get a true taste of the French countryside, areas such as Haute Marne provide fascinating glimpse into the traditional side of life in France.

Haute Marne has several quaint villages and is also full of B&Bs where visitors have the chance to interact and converse with locals and are perfect for scenic walks. Though these towns and villages tend to quieten down in the evening, Bourbonne les Bains in the exception. Its small casino is open daily until at least 2am and features 75 slot machines along with table games like English Roulette, Blackjack and Boule. The casino welcomes all patrons over 18 with valid ID and allows a casual dress code.
