Casino Baden
Lower Austria boasts a wide range of holiday destinations, with Baden bei Wien being one of the most popular ones. Baden bei Wien is just one of several lovely spa towns and serves as the capital of the Baden district. Located just 26 km south of Vienna, it is a good base from which to explore the region and Vienna itself. Neighbouring districts like Gamingerhof, Mitterberg, Rauhenstein and Braiten provide visitors with a broad view of rural Austrian life, where villages still comprise of half-timbered houses adorned with hand-painted frescoes and murals and decorated with a profusion of bright red geraniums trailing from balconies and window-boxes.
Casino Baden is situated at Kaiser-Franz Ring and opens its doors from 3.00 pm onwards, but boasts the Jackpott Cafe, where guests can relax over a cup of coffee and slice of Apfelstrudel from 2.00 pm onwards. As elsewhere in Austria, casino guests must be at least 18 years old, provide ID in the form of a passport, national identity card or driving license. Visitors can purchase discounted welcome-chips at reception – there is no admission charge to Casino Baden.
